On the occasion of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday, his blockbuster film ‘Gharana Mogudu’ was screened at multiple locations much to fans’ delight. However, surprisingly, the response to these shows have been quite discouraging.
Its raining re-releases in Tollywood and after Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Pokiri and Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming release of Jalsa for his birthday on September 2nd, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Gharana Mogudu was also expected to get similar response luke Pokiri.
Mega fans planned the special shows of this industry hit film. Even the shows are limited and despite this, most of the shows are not sold out or houseful which is discouraging.
Released in 1992, Gharana Mogudu became the first Tollywood film to collect a massive Rs 10 crores back then. It ran successfully for 100 days in many centres and Chiranjeevi’s all-round performance, and his chemistry with Nagma made the film immensely successful.
Directed by K Raghavendra Rao, Gharana Mogudu is a very special film for fans as it has all the elements to satisfy all sections. Megastar Chiranjeevi’s mass action episodes, breathtaking dance, and comic timing marked a great legacy for the film and it continues to be a favourite even today.
