Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts is all set to release the Telugu version of the Tamil film Viduthalai Part 1, in April. The makers have confirmed this news with a photo of the veteran producer along with director Vetrimaaran and movie producer Elred Kumar.
The dubbed version of Viduthalai was originally planned to be released on this month 7th. However, as two straight Telugu movies are already releasing this week, it is being said that the film has been postponed. Now with a big banner like Geetha Arts joining hands with this film, there shouldn’t be any problem for the release. Reportedly Geetha Arts team is planning to release Viduthalai in a high number of theaters in Telugu States.
Viduthalai, written and directed by Vetrimaaran, is an intense crime procedural thriller, which revolves around a rebel leader Perumal (Vijay Sethupathi) and the efforts of police officers to catch him under ‘operation ghost hunt’. Soori plays the role of Kumaresan, an idealistic police officer, while Gautham Menon and Rajiv Menon appeared in the roles of his senior officers.
Viduthalai Part 1 is based on a short story ‘Thunaivan’ by writer Jeyamohan, who also co-wrote the film’s screenplay, along with Vetrimaaran. The film was released worldwide on March 31, opening to superb reviews and appreciation from the critics and audience. Ilaiyaraaja is the music composer of the film, and it has cinematography by R Velraj.
