Nani’s Dasara was released last week with mostly positive reviews and superb word of mouth. The opening day and first weekend collections were quite encouraging and helped Nani register the biggest opener of his career. The film managed to achieve breakeven in the first weekend itself and is now Nani’s career biggest hit.
Despite so many positive signs, the film might just lag behind Geetha Govindam, which is considered the biggest hit of tier 2 hero movies. Geetha Govindam is the biggest blockbuster in medium-budget films which has collected 68.5Cr share worldwide.
With the hype and buzz and positive word of mouth, everyone expected Dasara to be all set to break Geetha Govindam. But, Dasara is not performing as well on weekdays as it did on the weekend. So It has no chance to cross the Vijay Deverakonda starrer’s collections.
Overseas and Nizam region have been hugely beneficial to the makers and goth them huge profits. Due to the story being set in rural Telangana, the Nizam region turned out to be quite beneficial for the makers compared to the Andhra region.
