Ravi Teja’s Eagle was released last week after multiple delays and release date difficulties. The action thriller was made on a heavy budget as the film featured a lot of high-octane action episodes. The movie’s theatrical release did not receive much buzz and it failed to attract audience in huge numbers and is running towards a big failure. It just collected around 11Cr share worldwide till now.
A few months ago, the producers made good deals with OTT deals even if the movie failed theatrically. But now, the situation has changed and the OTT negotiations are creating big challenges for makers. Eagle’s OTT deal has not been locked yet and after this theatrical performance, the makers may face bigger challenges to close the deal.
Satellite business is already down and the OTT deals are the only hope for the makers. If the producers fail to make a good OTT deal then they’re likely to face heavy losses. Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, the film also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Kavya Thapar, Navadeep, Madhoo among others. The breakeven mark stands at a modest 23 crore and the film has not even collected 50%
