The film was earlier scheduled to be released on September 15, but suddenly the film was postponed to September 28. However, there were claims that Chandramukhi 2 was postponed due to the presence of Mark Antony and other films on the 15th.

Also, he stated that the film was not postponed because of the competition from other films.
