Nani’s Dasara which was released two weeks back opened to positive reviews and good word of mouth and performed well at the box office overall. However, the individual areas’ performance of the film came as a bit of surprise for everyone.
The Teasers, Trailers, Posters, and songs everything had worked well and created a huge buzz and everyone thought this film will be a mass feast and will do wonders at Mass Centers but to everyone’s surprise, the film has underperformed in mass centers and over performed in A, B Centers.
A, B Centers and Overseas have received massive profits because of Dasara whereas the C&D Centers have failed to achieve the breakeven mark, which has surprised and shocked the audience and trade circles. However, the film achieved the breakeven mark overall and became the highest grosser of Nani’s career, and it also crossed the 100 Crores gross worldwide and collected 2M Dollars in the US, first ever for a Nani’s film.
Nani’s superb performance was complemented with the good support of Keerthy Suresh and Deekshit Shetty. The director of the film, Srikanth Odela’s natural depiction of rural Telangana and well-crafted emotional as well as action sequences, were the real highlights of the movie.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, Dasara has Dheekshith Shetty, Sai Kumar, Samuthirakani, Shine Tom Chacko, Poorna and others in crucial roles. Santhosh Narayanan is the music director of this film. Sathyan Sooryan ISC handled cinematography. Navin Nooli is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer of the film, and Vijay Chaganti is the executive producer.
