Nani’s Dasara was released late last month and created sensational opening records and emerged as the highest opener of the year. The film performed exceedingly well in Nizam and it was the Ceeded and Andhra regions that emerged as the weak spot for the film once the initial euphoria settled down.
Dasara is a super sensational blockbuster in Nizam, ROI, and overseas but in Andhra and Ceeded it had a mellow performance. Especially in mass centers the film has not reached the breakeven mark as expected. Now, the buyers have placed high hopes on this weekend and are expecting some as a pre-Ramzan benefit to the movie’s collection.
The buyers hope this Ramzan weekend will bring in a 100% recovery in Andhra and Ceeded. As of now, 70%-80% has been recovered on in many of the B & C centers in Andhra Pradesh till now. Dasara saw a sudden revival last weekend due to the poor performance of Shaakuntalam and Rudrudu.
Several times, If audience is not interested in new releases, they will choose to see a good movie even if they have already watched it. And now with no biggie in sight for this week as well, buyers are hoping Dasara has a sensational flourish this weekend as well.
