Nani’s Dasara movie has got an unexpected advantage on this weekend and the film is dominating new releases at the box office. We know that Shaakuntalam and Rudhrudu are the new movies which have been released this Friday.
Both Rudhrudu and Shaakuntalam received poor openings and on Saturday they have completely crashed at the box office, which has helped Dasara to dominate the new releases even on its 3rd weekend. Both Rudhrudu and Shaakunthalam have become massive box office failures.
Shaakuntalam is a period mythological romantic drama, Rudhrudu is a complete action revenge drama. While the trade circles expected Shaakuntalam to perform better because of its genre and star cast, the film failed to impress and became a massive failure. The same can be said about Rudhrudu which was expected to entertain the mass audience has decided disappointed everyone.
The failure of new releases has given an advantage to Dasara and the film can gather some good numbers on today as well. Sometimes audience prefer watching the good movie even if they have already watched it, if they are not interested in the new releases.
