Both Prabhas and now Shah Rukh Khan have failed to achieve a big box office milestone. It is widely known that Pan Indian star Prabhas and King Khan Shah Rukh Khan are all set to compete at the box office with their upcoming films, Salaar and Dunki. Interestingly, both Prabhas and now Shah Rukh Khan have failed to achieve a big box office milestone.
Baahubali 2 was the 1st 100Cr + and 200Cr+ opener for Indian Cinema. After this, Saaho Prabhas scored 100Cr+ openings again but failed to put a hat trick with 100Cr openers as Radhe Shyam did not take 100Cr openings on day one.
After that, Shah Rukh Khan got the same opportunity this year. With Pathaan, SRK delivered Bollywood’s and his 1st 100Cr+ opening day, and he continued it with Jawan as he again scored 100Cr+. So, like Prabhas, he also scored back-to-back 100Cr Grossers, and everyone expected Sha Rukh Khan to cut a hattrick 100Cr+ on opening day with Dunki and become the first Indian hero to achieve that rare feat.
But after the bookings Opened, it shows a clear picture that there is no chance of 100Cr opening for Dunki, and, in the best case, the movie can open around 80Cr gross worldwide, and there is no chance of coming near 100Cr number.
So, like Prabhas, Shah Rukh Khan failed to put in a hattrick 100Cr openers. However, with Salaar, Prabhas can definitely have a 100Cr+ opening at the box office. His previous film, Adipurush, also got a 100Cr+ opening, and he has a chance now to put Hattrick 100Cr with Project K.
