Big Day for RRR team – Will it Shortlisted for Oscars?

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is still making headlines after about a year from its theatrical release. It was recently, the maverick filmmaker received a thunderous applause from everybody by winning the Best Director award at New York Film Critics Circle.

Now, the latest reports suggest that the film is essentially there to getting shortlisted for Oscars 2023.

We all know, Rajamouli‘s film RRR wasn’t selected as India’s official entry to the Oscars. Instead, Chhello Show: The Last Film Show was sent from India. This decision, as expected, received mixed reactions, with the audience criticizing the selectors for not choosing the film starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR.

Those who supported Rajamouli’s Pan India blockbuster felt that the film had the best chance to shine at the Oscars considering its influence on the western crowd and media, if it was selected as the India’s official entry it would have helped much more the chances of it getting the Oscars.

The Oscar’s academy will announce the nominations for Oscars today. This will be the big day for RRR team as they are waiting for this day since long, everyone is expecting that RRR will be nominated in at least 4-5 categories.

The film is likely to compete with Hollywood biggies like Top Gun Maverick, Avatar 2, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Batman at the Oscars if it goes nominated.

Let’s heart fully wish that RRR gets nominated in the Oscars and wins the award too.
