Vijay Antony’s much anticipated Bichagadu 2, a spiritual sequel to his blockbuster hit Bichagadu was released in theatres recently. The movie was released with some okayish hype, with the songs and the trailers not adding much value to the moviegoers’ attention.
But having said that, Bichagadu 2 has opened with terrific numbers at the box office. This is all due to the massive craze of Bichagadu. Bichagadu has a cult fanbase in Telugu and is loved by a lot of people. As a result of this, the film enjoyed a bumper opening on Day 1 in Telugu as well as in Tamil.
The movie has opened so well that it will be Vijay Antony’s career-best opening by a huge margin. In Telugu, the film has opened better than some recent Tier 2 heroes films.
Despite the below-par reviews of the film, it has still managed to pull in crowds in the evening shows. But having said that, it is to be seen whether the film will maintain pace in the coming days. The negative reviews might affect the film’s business.
