Eid is a massive occasion for Bollywood releases. Over the last decade, several Bollywood films aimed this holiday and scored blockbusters. This Eid, two releases from Bollywood heroes Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn were released hoping to recreate the same magic with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan.

Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ajay Devgn’s Maidan hit the screens to take advantage of Eid and the upcoming weekend. Ajay Devgan’s Maidaan was premiered on 10th April and opened with unanimous positive reviews.

Despite this, the film did not make much on its opening day. It just collected around 5 Cr nett on Day 1 and collections including premiers is around 7.5 Cr nett in India. The budget of the film is said to be around 250 Cr. For that budget, this is a disastrous opening.

Both Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan are a nightmare for producers and on their way to becoming massive box office failures.
