Director Atlee, who is currently busy with Raaka, his ambitious pan-Indian sci-fi project with Allu Arjun, has revealed that he already has a script in mind for Superstar Rajinikanth.
In a recent interview, Atlee was asked if he had a story ready for Rajinikanth. The director confidently revealed that he does, but added that he usually takes considerable time to develop his films.
Atlee said: “Yes, I have. My films usually take time, so I won’t concentrate on the next one immediately after Raaka. Like how Thalaivar goes to the Himalayas, I will also take a break for two months and analyse my mistakes.”
Rajinikanth’s Current Projects
Rajinikanth currently has an interesting line-up. His highly anticipated Jailer 2 is gearing up for release next week, while he is also working on Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, which is scheduled for a Pongal/Sankranthi 2027 release.
If Rajinikanth eventually chooses Atlee for his next project after Dharman, the combination is sure to generate massive excitement among fans. Atlee has a proven track record with superstar collaborations, having delivered the blockbuster Jawan with Shah Rukh Khan. However, there is no official confirmation about the collaboration yet, and the project appears to be some distance away.
Atlee on Raaka Release Date
When asked about the release date of Raaka, Atlee gave a straightforward response, revealing that even the producer has not asked him about the release date yet.
Atlee said: “Even my producer has not asked this question. We will release it soon.”
Mounted on a massive scale, Raaka is being made as a high-budget pan-Indian sci-fi fantasy action film. Directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures, the film stars Allu Arjun in the lead, with Deepika Padukone playing a crucial role. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music.
