Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s action drama Coolie turned out to be an average performer at the box office. The film is already streaming on Prime Video in South Indian languages, and now the Hindi version has also arrived on OTT.

As mentioned earlier, the South versions of Coolie have been available on Prime Video since last month. However, due to the 8-week theatrical-to-OTT release window, the Hindi version has been released only now.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the action drama hit theaters worldwide on August 14, 2025, clashing with YRF’s War 2.Coolie received a mixed response from audiences, and many criticized Lokesh Kanagaraj for delivering a below-average film filled with unrealistic scenes.

Even upon its OTT Release, the film did not receive any positive response from the viewers.

0

Nizam has somehow been a weak territory for veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna compared to other territories, and this is the reason for his films not doing huge business in the area, but Akhanda 2 is said to be registering a huge business in Nizam.

The recent films of Balakrishna have created a good impact in Nizam, which strengthened his market and the first part of Akhanda (2021) scored Balakrishna’s highest number in Nizam with 20.5 Cr share.

Akhanda 2 Huge Number in discussions for Nizam Rights: Telugu States 100 Cr Share Needed for Break Even

There are huge expectations on Akhanda 2, and its Nizam business is said to be in discussions for a shocking number of 36 Cr. Reportedly, the proposed deal is 30 Cr for NRA (Non-Refundable Business) 6 Cr recoverable. The Andhra business is happening at 50 Crores.

Dil Raju is said to be in talks for this deal, and Mythri group is also interested in buying the rights for Sequel of Akhanda 2 and we need to wait and see who will finally release the film.

Balakrishna does not have a single 100 Cr share film in his career, but Akhanda 2 requires to do 100 Cr in Telugu states itself to attain the hit status. Balayya’s golden phase started with Akhanda’s first part and its sequel is all set to take it to the next level.

Rishab Shetty’s spiritual action drama, Kantara Chapter 1, has finished its first week on an excellent note with registering all-time records in Karnataka, and the film performs superbly in Nizam as well, with targeting a 30 Cr share.

Kantara Chapter 1 is doing very well in Nizam from the first day, and even after the weekend, the film collected more than 1 Cr share on weekdays, which shows how fantastic the film’s theatrical run is.

For the 1st week the film has collected 21.8 Cr share, including GST, in the Telangana region, and the trace expects a huge second weekend for the film.

The film is sure to cross 30 Cr share in Nizam. Until now only KGF 2 has collected 30 Cr share in Nizam in dubbed films, and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 will join this club.

The interesting thing is both dubbed films that have crossed 30 Cr in Nizam are from the Kannada film industry.

0

Pawan Kalyan’s OG collected 285 Cr gross for two weeks at the worldwide box office. The film is already the biggest grosser for Tollywood in 2025, and it is eyeing a 300 Cr milestone.

To achieve the big figure, the film needs a decent 3rd weekend, which is definitely possible, as there are no notable films releasing this week, and Kantara Chapter 1 and OG are likely to see a good weekend at the box office.

For Telugu States buyers, the film needs to have some big jumps on weekends, as their recoveries are around 80-90% till now. A solid third weekend can take them closer to the break-even mark.

Overall, OG collected the highest career numbers for Pawan Kalyan in two weeks, and it is a much-needed break for him, who has been awaiting a big commercial box office monster.

“They Call Him OG” delivers the much-needed success for Pawan and emerges as one of the top grossers in the Telugu film industry.
