Naga Vamsi Protects Buyers

0

The name of producer Naga Vamsi is doing the rounds in the industry circles with the clash of War 2 and Coolie. It is widely known that the producer is a fan of NTR, and he bought the rights to the War sequel. The film is heading towards a big loss, but Naga Vamsi protects his buyers.

But Vamsi turns out to be one of the best producers for buyers, as he always looks after their recovery and financial losses. Despite maintaining a very good success ratio, whenever his buyers lose the amount, the MAD producer immediately gives a compensation to stabilize them.

Naga Vamsi Comes To The Rescue Of War 2 Buyers

Naga Vamsi’s latest release Kingdom faced some losses, and because of that, the buyers did not pay the full amount for War 2. Still, he stuck to the same buyers. If it were some other producers, they would have sold the film to others.

Vamsi’s latest distributed film, War 2, also sees huge losses, and the buzz is that the producer is likely to give Mass Jathara as compensation to the buyers. If Mass Jathara works well, then it will recover some big percentage of losses for the War 2 buyers.

Naga Vamsi is also said to be in discussions with the YRF team regarding the Telugu states’ numbers and losses, and the big banner reportedly agreed to compensate some percentage from losses.

Lokesh Kanagaraj Nervous About Kaithi 2 Expectations?

0

Kaithi and Vikram are the best films in Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s filmography. His fans eagerly await the release of hi 2, but Lokesh Kanagaraj seems to be nervous about expectations around the film.

With Kaidhi and Vikram—Hit List, Lokesh emerged as one of the craziest directors in Indian cinema and a top director of Kollywood in present days.

After Vikram’s release, people eagerly anticipated Kaithi 2, the director continuously delayed the film with other projects like Leo and Coolie, and now he is planning the Rajinikanth-Kamal Haasan multi starrer.

Putting other factors aside, it seems somehow Lokesh Kanagaraj might be feeling a lot of pressure to make Kaithi 2, as there are very huge expectations on the film, and matching them is not at all an easy task.

With Kaithi 2, audiences are expecting a bigger film than Vikram and Kaithi, so definitely there will be high pressure on the director, and he needs to come up with a fantastic story and screenplay.

Even though Lokesh Kanagaraj is saying the entire LCU script is ready, the massive expectations will certainly keep him under fire.

Maybe the pressure to satisfy fans/audiences is one of the reasons for Lokesh Kanagaraj pushing Kaithi 2 time and again.

War 2 vs Coolie: 6 Days Box Office

0

Coolie and War 2, both movies were expected to be huge money spinners, but the biggies are seeing a big drop in numbers on weekdays. Let’s have a look at the 6-day box office report of War 2 vs. Coolie Clash

Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie has collected 420 Cr gross worldwide for 6 days at the worldwide box office. The all-India gross is around 263 Cr, and the overseas gross stands at 157 Cr approx.

Coming to the much-hyped sequel of War, the all-India gross is at 218 Cr, while the overseas gross is around 66 Cr, taking the total gross to approximately 285 Cr.

For breakeven value Coolie is likely to see an 80% – 85% recovery in closing, whereas War 2 will end up with a 50% recovery in its closing.

The Box Office clash, Coolie vs. War 2, had big expectations from everyone, but sadly, both movies are having disappointing runs at the theaters.

While Coolie is in a better position because of the extraordinary weekend, Hrithik Roshan and NTR’s War 2 struggled to excel except on Independence Day.

Mass Jathara Gets New Date

0

Mass Jathara, starring Raviteja, has experienced a few delays with its filming and theatrical release. The commercial entertainer was planned for 27th August, but the buzz is that Mass Jathara gets a new date now.

The new release date of the film is said to be 5th September, and on the same date, Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, Teja Sajja’s Mirai, and Sivakarthikeyan and AR Murugadoss’s Madharaasi are also releasing.

Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara takes Mira’s release date?

Reports from the distribution circles suggest that Ghaati and Mirai are changing their release dates, while the Tamil dubbed films Madharasi and Mass Jathara will be released on 5th September.

But this is definitely not as good a date as 27th August, as it falls on Vinayaka chaviti, which provides the film a holiday with a long weekend, and most importantly, it will be a solo release. Whereas September is crowded with many movies, and people will have multiple options.

Raviteja’s Mass Jathara team is likely to announce the new release date shortly, and the team has to come up with a massive promotional campaign to create a good buzz around it.

Mirai Pushed Ahead

Mirai is the upcoming film of Teja Sajja, who scored a massive blockbuster with Hanu-Man last Sankranthi. The film has a good anticipation among audiences, and the latest news is that Mirai’s release date has been pushed ahead.

This pan-India big-budget film was planned for 5th September, but the inside reports suggest that Teja Sajja’s Mirai’s release has been postponed to 12th September.

Reportedly, both Mirai and Mass Jathara makers discussed, and the former team agreed to postpone their film a week, with Raviteja’s Mass Jathara taking the 5th September date.

Directed by Karthik Gattamaneni, Mirai carries a good buzz, as its teaser and Vibe Vundi song worked so well. If the film’s trailer works, then the film will have a good opening at the box office.

The film Mira follows the journey of a valiant warrior known as the “Super Yodha”, who is entrusted with safeguarding nine sacred texts that contain humanity’s destiny.

After a disastrous theatrical run, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu arrived on the digital field today. The film had a few changes compared to the theatrical version. Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s trimmed version is now streaming on OTT.

The periodic action drama was released with a 162-minute runtime in theaters, and it opened with bad WOM and reviews. Especially the climax sequence and a few more VFX scenes faced heavy backlash and criticism.

So, keeping the feedback in mind, the team has removed those scenes from the film, but as the WOM was already out, the makers’ attempt failed to save the film.

Now, the viewers can watch Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s trimmed version, which is streaming on OTT.

The movie’s digital rights have been bought by Prime Video, and the runtime of the film is 153 minutes.

Murugadoss Blames Others-Fans Angry

0

Director AR Murugadoss was once regarded as one of the biggest directors of South Indian cinema. After a blockbuster like Kaththi (2014), the director continuously delivered unsuccessful films. However, Murugadoss blames others for his failures, which made fans angry.

Fondly called ARM by his fans, the filmmaker is blaming other persons and citing some silly reasons for his recent failures, without acknowledging any issues in his story or direction.

He is making allegations and controversial statements that are unnecessarily creating hatred toward him. For Sikandar, his recent Bollywood film, the director said that he could not make the film as planned because of Salman Khan’s shoot timings.

The Ghajini director shockingly tried to accuse actress Nayanthara of the failure of Darbar, starring Rajinikanth. Murugadoss blames Nayanthara and others for his failures, making the netizens and fans angry.

ARM said that he should have made Darbar as a more grand and detailed movie. Despite the script’s demands, he did not shoot the film in real locations due to safety reasons.

Murugadoss also said that he wrote Darbar as a father-daughter script, but the script was changed after Nayanthara’s entry. The director also pointed out that he had to make it as a quick project.

His next film, Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, is scheduled for release on 5th September, and creating such controversies before release could prove costly.

Lokesh Kanagaraj Drops Out of Rajamouli’s League

0

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj had an amazing successful track record till the release of his latest film, Coolie, starring Rajinikanth. The film’s box office trend is not so encouraging, and Lokesh Kanagaraj is now out of Rajamouli’s league.

Rajinikanth released a video byte in Coolie’s Telugu pre-release event and mentioned that Lokesh is like Rajamouli, as all his films have been box office successes.

Yes, all 5 films of Lokesh before Coolie were commercial successes, and even though Leo, starring Vijay, received mixed reviews, it was a big success commercially.

Coolie turning out to be the first failure of Lokesh Kanagaraj, breaking his success streak

However, with Coolie, Lokesh is seeing a setback at the box office, as after a good weekend, the film sees a big drop in collections on weekdays, and all areas are expected to see 15 – 20% losses at the current trend.

With this, Lokesh Kanagaraj drops out of Rajamouli’s league. But pulling 80% recovery for a record business with a mixed WOM certainly proves how big his brand is among audiences.

His next film is said to be the biggest project of Kollywood ever, which is a multi-starrer of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. This will surely create huge anticipation among audiences.
