Anikha Surendran who is quite popular among the Telugu audience as a child actor has bagged two Tollywood films. The actress is known for playing Ajith’s daughter in Viswasam and Yentha Vaadu Gaani will be seen in Nagarjuna- Praveen Sattaru film. The film went on floors earlier this week.
Apart from this, the actor has also bagged the lead role in the Telugu remake of Malayalam film Kappela. The film has been titled Butta Bomma. Ace director Trivikram recently launched this film in Hyderabad with Siddhu Jonnelagadda and Arjun Das in main roles alongside Anikha.
The original Malayalam version featured Sreenath Bhasi, Roshan Matthew, and Anna Ben in lead roles. The movie revolves around a naive young girl from a small town who falls in love with an autorickshaw driver over phone calls. What happens next forms the crux of the story.
The remake of Kappela will be directed by debutant S Chandrasekhar while Sithara Entertainments will bankroll the project.
