Before the release of Acharya, it has been said that the movie did a prebiz sale of more than 130 crores. This is just the theatrical business, there are non-theatrical rights like digital, satellite, songs, etc. which comes around 50 crore. If we calculate all of this together, the prebiz revenue comes around 180+ crore.
The budget of movie is nothing more than 150 crore including Koratala Siva’s remuneration. Either way, he was in table profit already, then from where does the movie incur these many losses? What happened to the prebiz revenue?
Why is Koratala facing these many financial issues? Well, the one answer for this is that the movie released in deficits. There are so many disasters of big heroes in Telugu Film Industry like Spyder , Agnyathavaasi, Brahmotsavam, Naa peru surya , Saaho, Vinaya vidheya rama , Sardaar Gabbar Singh. None of these producers face any financial issues.
