Vishal’s second release of the year Laththi released today to low pre-release buzz and occupancies. The film features Vishal as a constable who’s suspended from his job who gets trapped in an unfortunate situation.
Laththi opened to disastrous openings and extremely poor word of mouth. The actor’s earlier release Veerame Vaagai Soodum ended up as a major commercial failure at the box-office and huge expectations were set on this project.
Laththi released in Telugu along with Tamil and the noon shows openings are also quite disastrous. The film now needs a serious jump over the next couple of days which looks highly unlikely now. A Vinoth Kumar has written and directed this project which also stars Sunaina and Prabhu in key roles.
Laththi follows the story of a suspended police constable who is trapped in an under-construction property along with his 10-year-old son. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for this bilingual project which has been bankrolled on Rana Productions banner.
The actor had promoted the film extensively across Tamil Nadu and Telugu states. He will be next seen in Mark Antony along with Thupparivaalan 2- a sequel to his 2018 investigation thriller.
