Vijay and Dil Raju team had first planned Varisu/Vaarasudu for 12th January release but with Thunivu’s announcement Varisu had to push its release date to 11th January, and now it’s being said that they’re planning to drop the Telugu version Vaarasudu on 14th January as they thought Pre festival days can upset the film’s collections.
Also, as 2 Big movies from Telugu Film Industry Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy are coming into competition, the team of Dil Raju are in an opinion that these releases may impact their film in massive way. The official announcement of release date is expected tomorrow, they will release Tamil version on 11th January as prepared.
Directed by Telugu director Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Telugu producer Dil Raju, Varisu was aimed to have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil.
While Dil Raju was busy in getting maximum screens across twin Telugu states for his film, the release dates of other films have made them to change their plan, it seems.
However, the craze for Varisu in Tamil Nadu is to the next level. On the other hand, noted distribution channel Shloka Entertainments has gained the overseas distribution rights of Varisu/Vaarasudu.
Co-starring Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, Vaarasudu also has Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shyam, Khushbu and others in key roles. Thaman is the music composer for this family action entertainer.
