Being a star is a boon and making a movie with a star is a business boon. This holds true for the tamil Thalapathy Vijay’s latest outing Beast. Vijay’s beast released on 13th April and opened with negative reviews all over. One day later KGF2 got released with massive hype and opened with Positive WOM. The movie is creating sensation everywhere. In this scenario if it wouldn’t have been star hero’s film it will be washed out at box office. So in case of Beast, Vijay’s stardom has to workout to survive and it is what happened till now.
Director Nelson missed the opportunity given by the star and is getting back slashed by the fans. Everyone thought that Beast will be a huge disaster at box office but Vijay’s stardom and holidays are helping a lot for buyers. The movie performed very well on day2 and day3. Excluding Kerala and Telugu states, in other areas the movie is performing very well and expected to continue the same momentum on weekend too. This must be a slight relief for buyers. This once again proves that stars can pull the audience to the theatres even with average content.
