The audio launch of Vijay’s Varisu was held at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. The glittering event saw thousands of fans along with the film’s crew with Vijay’s performance on ‘Ranjithame’ stealing the show.
Amidst the extravaganza, there was something that attracted quite a lot of attention. Vijay’s father S.A Chandrasekhar and mother Shoba also attended the event. When Vijay arrived at the venue, he showed little interest in engaging with them and gave them a cold shoulder.
This incident has once again highlighted the strain in Vijay’s relationship with his parents. Vijay had earlier filed a case in a Chennai court against his parents alleging they were using his name for their political agenda.
A political forum – Vijay Makkal Iyakkam – was founded by Chandrasekhar and named after the actor irked Vijay. The party has now been dissolved but it appears that the strained relationship still continues.
Vamsi Paidipally has directed Vijay’s Varisu while Dil Raju produced the film. Varisu also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Jayasudha, Shaam, and Prabhu in key roles.
