Vijay’s Varisu/ Varasudu is getting ready for Sankranti release and will compete with Tollywood biggies like Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. While there is no doubt about the film’s buzz and expectations in Tamil Nadu, the film has to do well in Telugu states to ensure Dil Raju is in a safe zone.
Titled Varasudu in Telugu, the film is releasing in a record highest number of screens in Vijay’s career. While for some of his earlier movies, the Kollywood star did some promotions by attending the pre-release events, it seems to be missing this time.
Everyone expected Vijay to do the promotions in Telugu this time as Varasudu is the biggest release in his career. In addition to this, Vamsi Paidipally and Dil Raju’s presence in the project also raised expectations of Vijay’s involvement in Telugu promotions. But, it looks like he is likely to skip the Varisu Telugu promotions rest of the cast and crew are expected to promote the film.
Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead in this big-budget action flick, while SS Thaman will compose the music.
Varisu will have strong competition during its release from both Kollywood and Tollywood biggies. Ajith’s Thunivu, Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, are also in the Sankranthi race.
