Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is called as Makkal Selvan fondly by his fans, is all set to appear in a biopic of Karnataka’s chief minister Siddaramaiah. Vijay Sethupathi had recently given his voice-over in Siva Karthikeyan’s Maaveeran. Now, this news of him acting in this biopic will certainly raise the anticipation around the film.
A biopic about Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been in the works for the last seven months. The latest news is that ‘Leader Ramaiah’, with the tagline ‘A King Raised by the People’, will be released in two parts. It has been reported that the film will focus on the life of the 24th Chief Minister of Karnataka. Directed by Sathya Ratnam, it will come out in two parts. The makers are currently in the final stages of preparation and have plans to start shooting in August.
As said above, Vijay Sethupathi is expected to play Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in his biopic, according to reports. However, an official announcement was still awaited on the same.
It is said that the film’s producers reached out to him recently and received a positive response. The production house is also willing to make adjustments to their schedule based on the actor’s availability. Vijay Sethupathi is expected to play the role of Siddaramaiah, beginning his journey as a lawyer. He is expected to appear in the biopic before the climax parts for an approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
The makers are searching for a young actor to portray Siddaramaiah during his younger years, in the first part, which traces Siddaramaiah’s childhood and adulthood. The film will also feature two heroines, and the actors involved will be announced shortly, according to the reports.
Shashank Seshagiri has been chosen to score the music for ‘Leader Ramaiah’. He is in the process of composing three to four songs for the initial portion of the film. The vocals of singer Haricharan have already been recorded for one song.
