After having a formal Pooja Ceremony for his new film with Mrunal Thakur under the direction of Parashuram, Vijay Deverakonda is now all set to start the shoot of his another new film, VD12, which was officially confirmed a few months ago. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is said to be a Spy crime drama set on a period backdrop, the film will commence its regular shoot from tomorrow.
The Pooja ceremony of Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s upcoming project was held in Hyderabad in the last month, with the movie now being officially launched. This will be the first time the actor-director duo will be working together. Tollywood’s rising star Sree Leela will be playing the lead in the project, tentatively called VD 12.
Gowtam Tinnanuri, who last directed Jersey’s Hindi version with Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor will be eager to get back to winning ways. The Bollywood remake of Jersey failed at the box-office, much to everyone’s surprise.
The addition of Sree Leela to the movie has further heightened the anticipation. The expectations are high, with the audience being eager to catch Vijay Deverakonda and Sree Leela together for the first time. Sree Leela is one of the most popular actresses in the Telugu film industry now. She is already a part of Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, Ram Pothineni’s next with Boyapati Sreenu, and Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari. The actress is also on board for Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
