The pooja ceremony of Vijay Deverakonda and Gowtam Tinnanuri’s upcoming project was held in Hyderabad with the movie now being officially launched. This will be the first time the actor-director duo will be working together. Tollywood’s rising star Sree Leela will be playing the lead in the project tentatively called VD 12.
Gowtam Tinnanuri, who last directed Jersey’s Hindi version with Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor will be eager to get back to winning ways. The Hollywood remake of Jersey failed at the box-office much to everyone’s surprise.
Vijay, who is also desperate for a hit has apparently changed his strategy and focussing on soulful dramas instead of action entertainers. He is currently working with Shiva Nirvana for Kushi and this project with Gowtam Tinnanuri seems to be another step in reinventing himself.
The addition of Sree Leela to the movie has further heightened the anticipation. The expectations are high with the audience being eager to catch Vijay Deverakonda and Sree Leela together for the first time. Sree Leela is one of the most popular actresses in the Telugu film industry now. She is already a part of Mahesh Babu’s SSMB28, Ram Pothineni’s next with Boyapati Sreenu, and Balakrishna’s NBK108. The actress is also on board for Pawan Kalyan Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
