Vijay Deverakonda’s return to the romantic genre and his first-time pairing with Samantha was expected to deliver a much-needed success for both. Kushi, however, failed to continue its initial momentum and ended up way short of its targetted figures. Here’s a detailed break-up of Kushi’s area-wise closing collections.
Kushi Telugu version closing collections
Nizam – 13.5 Cr

West – 1.15 Cr
Guntur – 1.5 Cr

The Telugu version pre-business was valued at around 50Cr. Interestingly Nizam and Andhra regions gave out contrasting numbers. While there was a recovery of 75% in Nizam, Andhra region buyers experienced big losses. The overseas market was quite beneficial for Kushi with the film ending with profits there.
The Tamil version of the film is a super hit in Tamil Nadu and the movie has collected more than 10Cr gross. Out of this, a majority of the collection came from the Tamil version only.
Overall box-office-wise, the film got a below-average verdict including both Telugu and Tamil versions. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, Kushi’s music by Hesham Abdul Wahab was one of its biggest strengths and helped the film in creating some initial buzz.
