Vettaiyan starring Rajinikanth is having a decent performance at the box office. The film grossed around 185 crores worldwide for 1st weekend. Rajinikanth has a strong base in Overseas. But after the first weekend, Vettaiyan’s overseas gross is just estimated around to be $8 Million. With this pull, Vettaiyan struggled in overseas market.
Vijay starrer The GOAT made $14 Million in Overseas market with the same mixed talk. Vettaiyan is also expected to close less than $10 Million if the same pace is continued. The Advance bookings for tomorrow don’t look encouraging. The film will definitely have to make it big in the week days to sustain for the next weekend.
Dussehra holidays have come as a big advantage for the film. The film’s real performance will be tested from tomorrow i.e., Monday. Pre-release business of the film is valued at around 325 crores worldwide, Breakeven looks impossible by looking at the advances for Monday.
