Sujeeth Reddy, the writer-director of They Call Him OG, is all set to join hands with ‘Natural Star’ Nani for Bloody Romeo. The title was officially announced on Nani’s birthday in February, with an animated promo introducing him as a mysterious “No. 1 chef and gangster.” The project is being mounted as a pan-Indian action entertainer and is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainment and Unanimous Productions.
Sahoo Universe Getting Bigger
The announcement glimpse suggests that Bloody Romeo will combine action, dark humour, madness and romance, with Nani reportedly playing a gangster operating under the cover of a chef. The stylish animated promo, backed by the track ‘No. 1 Gangsta’, offered only a glimpse into the film’s unusual world while keeping the actual storyline under wraps. Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is also reportedly set to play a key role in the film. There have also been reports linking the project to the Saaho universe, although that connection has not been officially detailed by the makers.
Lucky Bhaskhar Star for Nani
As per the latest update, the female lead who will romance Nani in this action drama has been finalised following a look test. The actress in question is none other than Meenakshi Chaudhary. Following her breakthrough with Venky Atluri’s Lucky Baskhar, the actress is currently awaiting the release of Vrushakarma, which is expected to be another major project in her career.
