Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi’s recent engagement took many by pleasant surprise. Mega fans and industry insiders were quite keen on knowing further details about this latest Tollywood pair. The couple have worked on films like Mister and Antariksham and it was speculated that love bloomed between the couple on the movie’s sets. Varun Tej, who is awaiting the release of his next film Gandeevadhari Arjuna shed some light on the relationship.
“It developed organically. We first worked together for “Mister” film and we became good friends. I think it got upgraded into love prior to shoot of Antariksham film. I am a private person and my parents knew about it. It stayed that way till we announced about our engagement,” said the actor.
Speaking about the impending wedding which is being planned in a grand manner later this year, Varun Tej said, “We are looking for a wedding date in November or December of this year. I would love to get married in Hyderabad. But it’s not possible as I want it to be a private affair. Hence, it’s going to be a destination wedding. We are looking at 3 places in India and a couple of places abroad. The final decision will be taken soon.”
