Varisu is the most awaited film of Kollywood in the Pongal 2023 race. The business of this Thalapathy Vijay’s movie is closed, and the film is getting ready for the release.
Varisu did very good business and excluding Telugu states the film did close to 125 Crores theatrical business worldwide and nontheatrical business has also fetched huge numbers but because of heavy budget (Around 250 Crores) these amounts do not give profits to the film’s producer Dil Raju.
The film is releasing in Telugu states by Dil Raju on his own, which is profitable for him because whatever the movie collects in Telugu states will be a profit to Dil Raju.
Vijay has been building up his market with every film for the past 15 years. Vijay’s movies are creating a sensation at the box office, his films are expected to do a minimum 200 crores or 300 crores. Remarkably, his market is slowly increasing in Telugu as well.
Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead in this big-budget action flick, while SS Thaman will compose the music.
Varisu will have strong competition during its release from both Kollywood and Tollywood biggies. Ajith’s Thunivu, Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, are also in the Sankranthi race.
The theater’s allocation for Varisu/Varasudu in Telugu States has created many controversies in the recent past, and it looks as if it will continue until the film releases.
