Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu is undergoing a bit of controversial situation. The film is made under the direction of Vamshi Paidipalli and producer Dil Raju. The movie’s telugu version is titled as Varasudu. Producer and director have repeatedly said that Varisu is a proper Tamil movie and haven’t projected it as a bilingual. This is causing some problems in Telugu industry.

Producer and director of Varisu have reiterated many times that the movie is made for tamil audiences and their sensibilities. Though Vamshi, Dil Raju and lot other technicians are from Telugu industry and the movie’s Telugu version varasudu is looking for a big release in Telugu as well.

Dil Raju also blocked good number of theaters for this movie in Telugu states. Telugu netizens and producers council also advising the team Varisu not to give more theaters quoting the comments of Dil Raju during 2019 pettaa controversy.

If the team of Varisu projected the movie as bilingual, there would’ve been fewer comments about hoarding of theaters. Since the team wanted the Tamil movie tag for Varisu, netizens are asking for lesser preference to it in sankranthi race. To excite Tamil audience and Vijay fans team maintained that Varisu is a pakka tamil movie.

Statements given by producers and directors make a lot of difference in the consequences the movies face nowadays.

Every statement is judged in a critical manner by social media. Hence makers of the movie have to think twice before speaking about the movie.

Nonetheless Varisu might have a huge release in Telugu states due to the capability of Dil Raju. We have to wait and see how industry especially Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna fans react to Varasudu’s theater allocation.
