After years of extensive pre-production, Vaadivaasal is finally moving forward. Vetrimaaran recently met Suriya to discuss the much-awaited project, and the two have locked in a concrete plan.
130 Days for the Magnum Opus
Vetrimaaran has requested a total of 130 days from Suriya to complete this ambitious film. To balance his other commitments, Suriya has agreed to a 10-day call sheet every month. This arrangement allows the actor to juggle multiple projects while giving Vaadivaasal the dedicated time it deserves.
Script Almost Complete
The script work is nearly finished. Except for the opening and climax portions, the entire narration has been locked. The team now has a clear vision for this Jallikattu-based drama that has been in development for years.
When Will Shooting Begin?
Principal photography will officially commence once Suriya wraps up his current project, Arasan. Given the scale of this magnum opus, filming is expected to take at least 1½ years to complete.
The Suriya–Vetrimaaran combination has been one of the most anticipated collaborations in Tamil cinema, and fans can finally look forward to seeing it materialize.
