Romantic drama Uppena completed its 50 days run with 2 direct centres at Tagarapuvalasa & Kadiri. The movie featuring debutants Vaishnav Tej, Keerthi Shetty and Vijay Sethupathy received rave reviews from all sections. Released on 12th February after a long delay due to Covid, it will street digitally from 14th April.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Uppena follows the story of Aasi (Vaishnav Tej), a fisherman who falls in love with Bebamma (Keerthy Shetty). What happens next when Keerthi’s father Raayanam (Sethupathi) finds this forms the crux of the story.
The movie that was launched in 2020 generated great buzz through its chartbuster music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Uppena completed 50 days run continuing Tollywood’s victory run this year.
From its opening day, it had an excellent performance at the box-office by exceeding trade’s expectations. Theatrical rights valued at 24Crs and it has recovered more than 200%. Uppena has collected 47 Crs from the Telugu States and the Worldwide share is close to 52Crs.
