When a movie releases in theatres, it either becomes a hit or a flop. But some movies go on to become industry hits whereas some go on to become disasters. Today, we will take a look at some of the most disastrous films from Tollywood with more than 50 crores in losses at the box office.

First on the list is Ram Charan’s Thoofan which was also released as Zanjeer in Hindi. When news first broke out that Ram Charan was going to play the main lead in a Hindi film, it came as a shock to everyone. When the movie was released, it received outrageously negative reviews and tanked at the box office.

Mahesh Babu’s Spyder which was touted to be an epic sci-fi action thriller had a lot of expectations. The involvement of AR Murugodoss and SJ Suryah further raised expectations but the result was disastrous. Spyder ended up as a loss for all parties involved.

Perhaps the most disappointing one on the list is Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyathaavasi. The movie had a lot of positives from the start. The combination of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram after so many years brought in a lot of hopes but it ended up becoming a disaster.

Balakrishna’s NTR biopics, followed by Prabhas’ Saaho and Radhe Shyam also incurred 50+ crores losses at the box office. The more recent failures are Chiranjeevi’s Acharya and Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger. It is important to mention that these losses are including all the versions of the film.
