Tillu Square starring Siddhu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran is creating milestones at the box office. The film is a prequel to the smashing hit, DJ Tillu. Tillu Square succeeded in getting unanimous positive reviews and opened to a great start at the box office during the weekend. It managed to gross more than 75 crores worldwide. Now, it has breached one more milestone by touching the $2M mark in the US.
The film has already shocked everyone with its numbers. The trailer ahead of the film’s release looked very normal and many thought it might not beat its prequel, DJ Tillu. But the team denied this, and the lead actor, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, expressed so much confidence about the film. Now it is paying off. The film has officially touched the coveted $2M mark at the box office in the U.S. and may even cross the $3M mark by its final run. This is great news for the fans and audience.
The film is also going to cross the 100-crore gross mark worldwide in the coming days. However, the film may find a threat in the form of Family Star which is slated for release on the 5th of April. Family Star stars Vijay Deverakonda who enjoys the same kind of fanbase. We’ll have to see how both films perform at the box office from the next weekend during the long summer season.
