Tiger Nageswara Rao and Leo released earlier this month with the aim of capturing the Dussehra festive crowd. While Leo managed to create a massive box-office storm for Dussehra season, Tiger Nageswara Rao was a massive letdown and will end up as a box-office failure.
The performance of both Leo and Tiger Nageswara Rao in Hindia has also been quite a surprise for both the movie teams. Leo team did not do any promotions for their film in the north while Tiger Nageswara Rao did very good promotions. Leo makers were never worried about Hindi numbers but Tiger Nageswara Rao makers hugely depended on Hindi numbers. In fact, they even expected Hindi version to outperform Telugu.
When they were released, Leo and Tiger Nageswara Rao both got off to mixed reviews but Tiger Nageswara Rao failed to bring bare minimum audience in theatres. The Hindi numbers are negligible for this Ravi Teja starter. In contrast, Leo has performed extremely well and collected more than Rs 20Cr nett already and is headed to close in the range of 30Cr. It has even outperformed some straight Bollywood releases.
