Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 was expected to set the box office on fire. This film was supposed to continue the winning streak of YRF Spy Universe film. The monumental success streak was started with his own Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda hai followed by Hrithik Roshan’s War and taken to another level by Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan. Unfortunately, Tiger 3 failed to get the box-office abuzz and received quite a cold reception.
It is Salman Khan’s star power and cameo of Shahrukh Khan that has managed to salvage the film. As the movie did not make any records or did not create any benchmarks at the box office, the makers came up with a surprising record.
While the record is true but definitely not on par with the expected collections for the film. The film was the 1st setback film for the YRF spy series. Everyone expected the film to chase Jawan and Pathaan records but after its release, the film even failed to collect Pathaan and Jawan 4 days collections.
Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film released on 12th November in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It also starred Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi
