Having said that, the film’s second weekend gross collection is expected to be in the range of INR 175 crore within Tamil Nadu. If the film manages to mint INR 50 crore more, it’ll emerge as the highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu, a record now held by Mani Rathnam’s PS-1 (2022).
Keeping this aside, The GOAT will surely get past the INR 200 crore mark, which’ll make Vijay the only actor in history to have back-to-back 200 crore grossers in Tamil Nadu. And also the first actor to have two 200 crore grossers under his belt.
