This Republic Day is going to be a special one for Kollywood and Thalapathy Vijay fans. His much-anticipated project Thalapathy 67 under Lokesh Kanagaraj will be announced officially with a video on this date. With this announcement, Vijay will be a part of the ‘Lokesh Cinematic Universe’ where the worlds of Kaithi, Vikram, and Thalapathy 67 will meet.
Thanks to the brand Vijay and the backing of Lokesh, the film has already created terrific buzz and has already created new benchmarks for the non-theatrical business. The film is made in all languages and the makers are planning for a Diwali release.
Vijay has already started shooting for the movie. He is reported to be playing a gangster in his 40s with a salt and pepper look. Sanjay Dutt has been roped in for the villain’s role. This will be the Bollywood actor’s second big project as a villain in South after KGF 2. The unit will now move to Kashmir for the next schedule where they will be joined by Sanjay Dutt.
Vijay’s fans are eagerly waiting to see their ‘Thalapathy’ in an action role after the recent family drama- Varisu. While Varisu was a major success in TN, it didn’t fare that well in the Telugu states.
