2022 Sankranti was a dull affair for Tollywood. There were no major releases and the films that were scheduled for the festive season had to be postponed. Sankranti 2023, however is going to be quite different. There will be big-budget Tollywood movies as well as pan-India films coming out.
Prabhas’ Aadipurush is the most awaited film of this bunch. This mythological drama will have company from Vijay and Vamsi Paidipalli’s bilingual project Varasudu/ Varisu. Now, apart from these films, NBK 107 titles Veera Simha Reddy starring Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan and Akhil’s Agent are also reported to release for Sankranti 2023 making it an exciting race.
NBK 107 is directed by Gopichand Malineni and the film is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s shoot is going on now and if the recently released teaser is to be observed, it is going to be another action-packed mass film like Akhanda.
Along with these big-ticket films, another massive Telugu project Waltair Veerayya starring Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, and Shruti Haasan is also in the fray for the Sankranti race.
All these movies have officially announced their release times as Diwali updates. This will be the biggest clash ever in Tollywood and we have to see what will be the final outcome of Sankranti 2023.
