For a while now, Thaman has been one of the most consistent music directors in the Indian Film Industry. He has not only been consistent but he has been consistently good as well. He has been consistently producing bangers after bangers every year.

From his early days in the chartbuster Dookudu or later in the powerful Race Gurram, he has never disappointed. But just like any talented individual, he had a lull period where he was heavily trolled by the Telugu audiences.

However, he did not let this get to him and bounced back in 2020 with the absolute chartbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. The AVPL album became an instant sensation and the songs blew up like fire on social media.

Thaman’s soulful rendition in Samajavaragamana, assisted by Sid Sriram’s melodious voice is still fresh in people’s minds. Then comes the peppy dance number Ramulo Ramula which shakes dance floors to this day. It would be a crime to dismiss Butta Bomma, which took the internet by storm.

Along with these three chartbusters, there was also the Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo title track, Sitharala Sirapadu, and the catchy OMG Daddy song. It was not only the songs but the background score by Thaman that caught the audience’s eyes.

Owing to this, Thaman has won the award for ‘Best Music Director’ at the 68th National Film Awards for Ala Vaikunthapurramaloo. The National Award is one of it not the most prestigious award for an actor and we are extremely proud of Thaman. This is only the start and the sky is the limit for Thaman.

Thaman took to Twitter to thank everyone who was involved in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.
