In an interesting musical development, composer Thaman S has come on board to compose the background score for Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan and directed by Harish Shankar.
The makers officially announced this update through a statement, which has now gone viral among fans. The announcement clarified that while Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) has composed the songs for the film, Thaman will be handling the BGM.
Why Thaman Replaced DSP for the Background Score
According to the official statement shared by the production house, the delay in finalizing and sending the film reels for background scoring led to scheduling challenges. Due to his prior commitments, DSP was unable to accommodate the background score within his timeline despite making every effort.
Respecting his decision, and under mutual understanding, the team decided to bring Thaman on board to ensure smooth progress without any further delays. The makers emphasized that this move was taken in the best interest of the film and to maintain its planned timelines.
Pushpa 2 Connection: Same DSP-Thaman Pattern
This isn’t the first time such a combination has happened. Thaman previously composed the background score for Pushpa 2: The Rule, even though Devi Sri Prasad handled the songs for that film. Now, the same pattern is being repeated for Ustaad Bhagat Singh.

The film is reportedly considering moving up its release by a week, from March 26th to March 19th. Decisions like bringing Thaman on board are being made to keep the production on track for the revised timeline.
