Telugu makers prefer DSP (Devi Sri Prasad) over Anirudh and Rahman. You don’t need a special introduction for the music director Devi Sri Prasad, who has been part of many blockbusters in the Telugu film industry over the years. Though his form is not that great, the Telugu makers prefer DSP over Anirudh and Rahman.
Recently, the young music director Anirudh got massive success and craze. South Indian Cinema. His form and brand drew most Telugu makers to try and rope him for many films, but it did not happen. Because of the huge remuneration and tight schedule, Anirudh proved unaffordable for Telugu movies.
Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti’s film unit and Balakrishna – Bobby’s film team tried to get Anirudh. Still, he reportedly demanded 10Cr remuneration and did not commit to songs for both films. Hence, the Telugu filmmakers left those attempts, and they are now back from Anirudh and are said to be in final discussions with DSP.
The same goes with AR Rahman, too, as he was a viable option for Sekhar Kammula – Dhanush’s film, but for the same reasons like budget and unavailability, the makers could not rope him. The project’s team is now in final discussions with DSP, and a few more films are also said to be going similarly.
