Suriya 42 is a pan-Indian project which is directed by Siva and the film will be made with 3D and 2D technology. The film’s Hindi satellite, theatrical and digital overall Hindi rights have been sold at 100 Crores, which is a massive deal for the team. For other languages’ rights there is also a massive demand for this film according to the reports.
After delivering hit films like Souryam, Siruthai, Veeram, and blockbusters like Vedalam and Vishwasam, Siva has teamed up with Suriya for the first time with Suriya 42. In September, the unit announced that they will shoot the yet untitled film in 3D and release in 10 languages, making it a Pan-World film.
The film features Disha Patani as the female lead, and the film is essentially a reincarnation-based action adventure. While a major chunk of the shoot is already wrapped up, the afterward schedule of the still untitled film begins later week, as Siva and his team plan to call it a wrap for Suriya 42 by March this year.
Hindi film producer, Dr. Jayantilal Gada, has gained the Hindi rights of this Pan Indian project for a whopping amount. According to the industry circles, Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) has acquired the Hindi rights of Suriya 42 for a sum of Rs 100 crore.
This is the biggest deal until date for a Suriya film in Hindi. The makers are planning to make this film on a massive scale, and also its business and promotions will too be on the same lines.
Suriya 42 is touted to be a period action-adventure drama that features Suriya in a striking new avatar. It stars Disha Patani as the leading lady and the music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The biggie is set to release in theaters in multiple languages.
