On July 23, the star, who will turn 46, is set to surprise his fans with an official announcement of his upcoming film, tentatively titled Suriya43. The film also marks the 100th film of music director GV Prakash, who will join hands with Suriya for the second time after the much acclaimed Soorarai Pottru.
Kanguva, Surya’s upcoming pan-Indian film’s teaser is releasing on his birthday, and according to the reports, on the same day his next film’s announcement will also be done as said above. Suriya is joining hands with director Sudha kongara for next film, GV Prakash has hinted on his Twitter account about the same.
Suriya 43 will be directed by Sudha Kongara, who also made Soorarai Pottru, which won five National Awards and received critical acclaim across the world. The movie was based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, founder of Air Deccan, the first low-priced airline in India. The film was released on Amazon Prime Video in 2020 and became one of the most-watched Tamil films on the OTT platform.
The expectations for the Suriya43 are very high since the dynamic trio of Suriya, Sudha Kongara and GV Prakash is expected to make another remarkable film. The film is reported to be made as a gangster drama. The shooting of the film is likely to begin in the next half of this year.
GV Prakash, who is also busy as an actor, suggested the project on his Twitter account. He also wished Sudha Kongara on her birthday and expressed his excitement about her next project in Tamil after the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role, and the actor composer will also work with Suriya – Vetrimaaran’s Vaadivaasal.
Suriya’s fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of his next film, and there cannot be a much special occasion than his birthday for the same. The film is said to be produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, and reports have at it that the film will be based on the true events, not a biopic.
