Suriya’s last two films Soorarai Pottru (Akasham Nee Haddura) and Jai Bhim received great critical acclaim and were a major success. However, the fans and movie lovers had only one complaint that these two films were OTT releases and not theatre releases. Both the films were released on Amazon Prime video with Suriya’s performance receiving great appreciation.
Now, after a gap of 3 years, Suriya will finally be seen on the big screen. His next film Etharkkum Thunindhavan will hit the theatres in 2022. Etharkkum Thunindhavan is a family entertainer and will release on February 4th. Priyanka Mohanan will star opposite Suriya for the first time and Pandiraj will direct this film.
National Award winner D Imman is composing the tunes while Sun Pictures will back the project.
