Kollywood star Suriya is currently busy filming for his next big film, tentatively titled Suriya 42. Directed by Siruthai Siva, the period action drama has Bollywood actress Disha Patani as the female lead.
If the rumors are true, one of the leading OTT platforms Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital streaming rights of this pan-Indian film at a record price. The film is making headlines even before its release with these kind of news.
One more surprising thing is the digital rights of Suriya 42 have been bought for 80 Crores which is excluding Hindi language and it will be the biggest deal for a Tamil movie in prime. Overall, it will be the 2nd biggest deal in Tamil movies after Vijay’s Leo which is bought by Netflix.
Suriya 42 is a periodic film being made with massive budgets and scale. The shooting of ‘Suriya 42’ was started with a grand poster release. Produced by Gnanavel Raja on behalf of Studio Green, Devi Sri Prasad composes the film’s music. The makers are confident that this film will be an answer from the Tamil industry to Baahubali and KGF Series.
