Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkumar Rao’s horror comedy Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank (2024) has taken the Hindi belt by storm. Till date, the Amar Kaushik-directorial has grossed over INR 690 crore (INR 583 net) at the Indian box office.
Even in the overseas belt, it minted an impressive $16.35 million (INR 136 crore), thus taking its worldwide gross to a staggering INR 826 crore. This is an exceptional performance for any major feature film in India.
This week, Stree 2 is expected to get past the INR 600 crore net mark and emerge as the No. 1 grosser of Hindi cinema, surpassing Atlee‘s Jawan (2023). In its full run, the film will surely hit the landmark gross of $100 million (equivalent to INR 840 crore). Needless to say, the distributors, followed by exhibitors and producers, will incur huge profits with the film.
