Star Group has bought the South Indian Satellite and Digital Rights of the film for a massive amount of 54Cr, and Hindi rights had done 35Cr business. So, the total non-theatrical business has done more than 90Cr. The brand of the film’s director, Boyapati, has played a significant role in this business.
The movie was reportedly made on a 100Cr budget, and the non-theatrical business has helped the producer to end up with table profits. Still, theatrically, the buyers have faced heavy losses. Skanda’s buyers lost more than 40% of invested amounts in most areas.
The movie will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from tomorrow, and it is one of the most awaited OTT releases for the audiences as the movie only brought a few audiences to the theatres. They are waiting to watch it on OTT. Skanda will be streaming on OTT precisely five weeks after its theatrical release.
