As officially announced, Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen as an army officer in a film titled Amaran. Co-produced by ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Hassan, it features Sai Pallavi as the female lead; the project’s carrying good buzz among audiences mainly due to the posters and teaser released so far.
Amaran is undoubtedly the biggest venture in SK’s career in terms of budget and scale; unlike his previous films, this action drama will have release across all the languages of the country; in simpler terms, it is touted as a pan-Indian project.
Considering the potential this project holds at the box office, streaming giant Netflix has bought the film’s digital rights for a mammoth INR 55 crore; this is a record sum for any medium-budget film in Tamil cinema. GV Prakash Kumar will compose the film’s music, while Rajkumar Periasamy will lead the troupe.
